A Passion for Papertrey / CPS Challenge

I'm kind of killing 2 birds with 1 stone here. Entering the challenge on the fabulous new blog for UK PTI, A Passion for Papertrey - to use PTI products to create a card, and at the same time also entering the CPS card sketch challenge.

And I've even learn't how to link too (I hope).

Just a simple card - one of the ladies I do my jewellery evening with sadly lost her mother, so I thought I'd do a card for her.

Supplies:
Basic cream cardstock, Ocean Tides layer, with 2 stamps from the new beyond borders set, stamped in vintage cream - all PTI. Brilliance black ink.
The ink was really thick and luscious, and I'm pleased with the coverage on the darker card.

I really like this stamp set, and I can see it being a useful addition to my collection.

More blog candy!

Another link to blog candy - visited a blog I look at occassionally, and discovered more blog candy on offer, so here is the link
http://stephmuchadoaboutnothing.blogspot.com/
some fab inspirational projects on here.

I have had a little fun making some cards - I will try and photo them to post later today. It was my birthday 19th and dd on 20th, so I've been pottering and trying to enjoy myself instead of housework, hence the cards. Couldn't really go anywhere, as dh has his leg in a metal frame, and can't walk very far.

This was taken the day of the op at the beginning of Dec. Hopefully the frame will come off mid to late March.

Link to blog candy

While bloghopping today, I came across this:

http://papertherapy-wendy.blogspot.com/2009/02/my-first-blog-candy-giveaway.html

a blog candy giveaway, for a scor pal. I'd love to update my scoring thing, and a scor pal was one of the score boards I was looking at, along with the scor it. I have a baby scor it, but quite often like to score longer lines than I can with the baby scor it, so was looking to see what was around.

Blog Award!

Germaine kindly gave me this award - not sure why as I don't feel I have earnt it yet! Anyway thanks. The other issue I have is who to pass it on too! It may take a while, as the blogs I follow already seem to have this...
Half term so the little people are at home - that means restricted gym visits, and having to entertain them. The 2 boys seem keen to play on the wii lots and lots. Either that, or filling their seemingly bottomless stomachs with buscuits or crisps - I keep offering fruit, but strangely that gets turned down. So, the little pink one... She has her 'stamping' moments, when she squishes my stamps into the ink pads, then plonks them down, ink oozing all over the place onto the paper for a nice smuged image. I managed to get 2 good handprints for a scrapbook page to be completed at a later stage....
And dh, leg still broken and in a metal frame, manages to do his 'thing' (modeling his trains), as much as he wants while he is off on his long term sick.
So I guess that leaves me with the washing, hoovering, cleaning, cooking, driving......

Personalising my blog

Many, many thanks to the lovely Germaine, who has pointed me in the right direction to get my blog looking at least a little more interesting than it was. I've learnt a lot about 'adding' bits today. Though there is still lots to learn, but one step at a time! ok, mine are baby steps, but they are steps. Still need to learn how to do links and things in the post.
Thanks also for the award Germaine, just don't know how to 'collect' it! I am completely hopeless, and not at all technical when it comes to computers!
DH is out, children are in bed, and almost all is ready for the morning, so I'll have a little crafty play this evening, now that I have the house to myself. Might even get a little jewellery making done (my other 'creative' thing that I do).

Papertrey Inks Challenge - Friends

I know this is the second time I've posted this, but wanted to highlight it as the card I did for my friend - she loved it, and really all it said inside was 'just because'. Thats it really, just because she is a fabulous friend to me.
I'd made another 'just because' card for a different friend a few days earlier, the picture I sent her had a hidden message, which she got instantly, but no-one else would get it. But I didn't take a photo of that one. Anyway, I thought I'd better make a card for my best friend as well, so she didn't get left out, hence the reason for the above.

Here's another not very good photo of a card I have made for Valentines. Its for the PTI / cardpositioningsystems challenge. Photo taken a few minutes ago, so flash is a bit bright and washes out the colours slightly. Should have cropped it too, but didn't think of that until I'd uploaded.
